Dear Editor,

I would like to respond to your opinion piece written on November 7th in the Dodgeville Chronicle titled, “Another attempt at media manipulation.” First of all, I agree with you on the need for a free press. However, I think that the press needs to go further and warn the people about what is happening in this country. President Trump and his gang are taking the country down the same road as Adolf Hitler and his gang took Germany down some 90 years ago, in their quest for more & more power. If the press and the people do not speak up and stop the madness, the mothers in this nation will soon be weeping as their children will be sacrificed for these mad men's glory. The people ordering and carrying out the strikes on the people on boats should be charged with murder under International Law and never be able to leave the country. However, you and the other newspapers in Southwest Wisconsin are doing the exact same thing that the President is doing: withholding the news you don’t like from the public eye. When the use of some of our pasture land was taken away for no other reason than that we had some Native American blood running through our veins. When Joe Vosberg, who has an easement through our farm, took us to court for implementing a rotational grazing system without his permission, he claimed it interfered with his access to his residence. However, all of this zoning was not supposed to allow for a residence. This was all so to claim that we had changed the easement. As proof, he had a picture of a new part set in June of 2003. However, the county had come in the fall of 2002, a year earlier, and made a plan of where the new easement would be so Vosberg would get funding for a gravel road to his property. I believe their funds were meant to be used for erosion control on agricultural land, not private roads for big shots. The judge proceeded to set aside all of the laws there are to rule for Vosberg. He said he has a right to a residence even though zoning didn’t allow for it. The judge ruled against the easement law that said no further burden can be placed on the already burdened party. He ruled that we would have to build a fence to keep the cows off the easement. The judge set aside the right-to-farm law, and finally, he ruled against the contract in the deed itself that Vosberg had agreed to when he was granted the easement. That decision was based on the belief that the easement was created in an earlier time, and that Vosberg was to keep all gates closed at all times, and that he could not fence it, and that it should not apply to Vosberg. Vosberg said yes, it was from an early time, yet it appeared in the deed the very first time on the exact date that Vosberg had taken control of the property. Vosberg had lied again, and is the Judge really that clueless? I don’t think so, but I could be wrong on that. It took over two years to get the court's written decision, so we could not appeal it. So I got a copy of the transcript itself that showed all of the lies told by Vosberg that even the D.A. agreed was perjury, but that she would do nothing. The county charged $480 for that transcript. I took it to all the area newspapers, including the Dodgeville Chronicle; nobody would do a story, but the Chronicle would not even return the transcript. I believe either you or Mr. Novak, who is working for you, destroyed this piece of evidence. I then went to the politicians, and it was the same story with them. From Novak, to Pocan, to Marklein, the message was loud a clear; lesser people like you need to know your place. Being a disabled Veteran, I didn’t think I was a lesser person, so I wrote a book on my life. Not since I had seen my little sister beaten half to death with the blood running down her back for no better reason than being part Native American. I have since felt that kind of hate towards me from the media. Every local author who has written a book has had a story done by you on why they wrote it. However, you have killed every single mention of my book, The Heart Remembers: Recollections of a Ninety-Year-Old-Man, so I think it's a fair question to ask: are you people, in the media, a bunch of white supremacists, or who is it you are trying to protect? You probably won't print this, but it will go out on social media.
