Dear Mr. Reilly,

In regards to your opinion in the December 11th Chronicle, this is just wrong. I completely agree with everything that you brought up. We certainly need a free press, but you only seem to complain when your ox is gored. Such as when my family and I were targeted, and the use of our land was taken away. The reason for that was that we were using a rotation pasture system and hadn’t gotten the permission of Joe Vosberg, who had an easement through our pasture land to his woods, where he has built a cabin. It seems that since we have Native blood in our veins, it was decided that we needed the all-white man’s permission to use a program that the government pays other farmers up to $40,000 to implement. Don’t you think that is just wrong? When we brought a copy of the trial transcript to you, it clearly showed that the contract within the deed was set aside based on lies and nonsense. You read it but you would not return it, and I believe that either you or Mr. Novak destroyed it. Grant County had charged me $480 to make that copy. Don’t you think that not returning it was just wrong? I went to every source I could think of for help, and only two would listen. Those being Wisconsin Senator Dale Schultz and Rob Callahan, editor of the Fennimore Times. Senator Dale Shultz was shortly thereafter kicked out of the Republican Party for his belief that he should represent all of the people. Rob Callahan was replaced within weeks. So I then wrote a book about my life and what took place in this case. You and the Morris Newspapers give local authors a review of their books and why they wrote them. However, your paper and the Morris Newspapers won’t; instead, you choose to silence me. This is plain wrong. Why am I being blacklisted? Perhaps it is to cover up for the corrupt Justice System in Grant County, Wisconsin. One that I believe is one of the most racist and corrupt in the nation. Or is it because of my mixed blood that I should know my place and shut my mouth? Unfortunately for you thats not about to happen. I served for years in the Korean Conflict and worked all my life believing we could all be treated the same. I saw my little sister being beaten with a knotted rope until there was blood running down her back. This was some 80 years ago, so I know what these hatemongers are capable of. So I will not be backing off. What happened in Grant County in 2008 is now happening all over the entire country. So, for God’s sake, people wake up. You probably won’t print this, cause you haven’t printed the others I’ve sent in. But this will be put up on social media.
